Default Intel 775 Socket Stock HSF

No more retention bracket.

Interesting to see some 3rd party products.

I like the s478 retention bracket - very secure design; pain at times to remove.

The new design seems to be using 4-spring loaded posts. But, the radial fins tell a lot more in cooling the MOSFETS around the base; and NB cooling also.

Notice the 4-pin connector instead of the current 3-in.

This means new fan for after market or 3rd party HSF.

nopes, a 3 pin connector fits fine on a 4 pin.

but won't benefit the no-step fan speed control of the 4-pin fans

Bigger and better; accordingly they fit 775 socket. The big one is 120mm vertically.

Gigabyte's own new retention bracket to accomondate the new design.
