i have a 7200 rpm hd will a 10,000 help my game playing and ect?

Loading times will be reduced "a bit", copying small files = faster also.
on the negative side the drive will be more noisy; and it's not the best price/performance buy you can do.

But overall it will give your overall system a speed boost if you use a WD Raptor 74Gb as system drive;

not worth the money and noise IMO, especially with the NCQ drives around
