| evolution now as an overclocker and a person obsessionally wanting to have a very fast gaming rig, I 've always vowed that I would never own a main gamingmachine slower then what was generally sold as top of the line. (not meaning those 6000 euro prommy rigs they sell nowadays, but median top of the line). Well, it's closing in on me now.... I have a 22000 3dmarks rig, and we're seeing standard sold a64 3400+ on via pt880 chipset with radeon 9800 xt reaching 21000 3dmarks... (untweaked and not overclocked) this means that soon I will have to upgrade. I will be waiting till after cebit however to see if Prescott 3.4 (or lower overclocked) + alderswood + ddr2+ pciexpress r420 will be faster then the fx53 on a socket 939. I have not spent one euro on hardware in the last six months... except for a 17"lcd (which was specifically for work/office) and exchanging some ram which cost me nearly nothing. That is a FEAT!!! I wanted to buy two raptors 74 gb however the shop I ordered them has not given me any message of availability in over a month now, so I consider that order cancelled

| Hmmm, raptors shouldn't be too hard to get. I've seen em with some suppliers. And the AMD64 linup is causing quite a stir. The FX should do pretty damn good with dual channel. |

| JM it's pretty hard to say what a S939 CPU will behave if it hasn't been released yet. The S940 platform has some other elements that could slow it down. And yes raptors 74 have showed "in stock" with some of our supliers already (don't know if they are right now) |
