Default DDR2 good?

Hi guys, I have been a bit inactive on following up on hardware components. I need to assemble a rock stable work station for a friend.

I have a few questions:

- choosing a 775 3ghz cpu, would I take DDR2 or not?

- a rock stable system starts with a rock stable mobo, what is today's best mobo for that? Asus still good?

- what raid controller is best for 200GB WD HD's in mirror?

- what's today's best 19inch LCD?

- a SCSI slot for a PD-ROM is also required.

I'd appreciate some expert opinions.

thanks a lot

for every day use, I'm sure that will do very well.

if you're going to oc, I'd make some changes though.
--> OCZ 520 or 600 or PC P&C 510 deluxe (actually, even if you're not going to OC, I'd advise you to get one of these: Antec is good but these are a fair bit better and I hear Antec has been producing poorer prducts lately...)
--> P5AD2 E premium
--> OCZ EB ddr2
