Default TR: 512MB Corsair PC3700 XMS

For 1*512mb or 2*256mb that does at least 2-3-3-5 @ 220mhz on an athlon 64 setup. Preferably better (BH or CH winbond series). Will pay extra.

Reason: this ram is not really compatible and is known to underperform on athlon64 setups. I have to run under spec to maintain stability. So only users with a P4 are recommended to reply.

It is only 3(!!) days old, complete with warranty. Bought for 139€. Selling is OK to if you can point me to someone where i can get replacement ram from.

PC3700 is overkill for an AMD setup in my humble opinion. Unless you can get the timings way down.

Corsair PC3700 has pretty high timings (CL3 4-4-8?)

you will never reach the performance of those sticks you have now running @ 215 with tight timings.

k thanx, but still searching. My ram becomes unstable on settings higher then 225Mhz even if i lower timings :s and increase voltage. What's the best ram to replace my pc2700ll with?

if you want lower timings and pass over the 225 mark on AMD I'd suggest some high'er end PC3500 from OCZ/GEIL/CORSAIR

but it is a hit and miss for sure.
those PC2700LL are doing very respectable; and I wouldn't spend a dime upgrading those sticks, the performance difference is almost nihil for daily usage, the only way you will notice the "speed" is by running benchmarks...

I got 2*256 twinmoss dual channel sticks(no BH5). I would like to trade them with you, but I don't know If you will like them. They are now 120 € at tones. I'll pay max 50 € extra.
