| Windows 2k and CDroms I've got a nasty little problem with windows 2k. When I boot with empty CD drives, and insert a CD. Windows can't find the CD. When I boot with a CD in the drive, windows can find it. I can then replace it, and windows will find the new CD. uke: This happens on both drives, on IDE2. Doesn't happen with a drive connected on IDE1 (I was told this, still untested) I sen to recall a similar problem like this, but I can't remember the fix for it. Anyone here know??? |

| dunno this one had worked for me when i had cd rom probs first boot with 1 cdrom (unplug the other) --> if this works, ok then boot with only the second cdrom -> if it works, ok ik it works with the 2 cd roms when they boot alone, then you have to try to boot with them together. it worked for me |

The only way they work fine is when they boot with a drive already inserted. Then I can swap CD's and they will be found. | |
