| Don't bother. It's not a software issue. You apparently are using a frontpanel, I assume of your case. The way this should work is that the signal of your audio is led to the front connection. If there is a plug inserted a return switch is cut of and the front connection plays. while the rear connection does not recieve a signal. If there is no plug in there there should be a return connection to the I/O panel connection on your motherboard. This is done so that, when you use headphones on the front, your main speakers (normally connected to the rear) won't work anymore. Some housings however do NOT use this return feed. There is no signal going back to the rear connection, and thus there is no sound comming from it. The block you connected the front audio to, should originally have had 2 jumpers on it, connecting 2 pins. Replace these jumpers and don't use the front audio, and your rear audio output should work. It might as well be noted that cases that don't provide return feed, usually use lesser quality wire/shielding, so the front audio connection could have some distortion in them. hope it helps. |
