| Power supply extension cables I've recently bought an Antect P180 and OCZ Modstream 450W, among other things. The OCZ-kabels are a wee bit too short, though, so I can't connect my PSU to my motherboard (Asrock 939DUAL-SATA2, with both connectors waaaay at the top). I've been looking around for cables, but I'm not really sure what I'm looking for, actually. I'd need: - 20-pins extension between PSU and mobo (is this it?). - 4-pins extension between PSU and mobo (is this it? Especially not sure since it says "PIV", and I've got an AMD). - 3-pins extension between CPUFAN and mobo (that cable's a bit too close to the heatsink for my liking)(is this it?). Are those the things I'd need? If not, what are? Do you know a better/nearer shop (I'm from Antwerp/Belgium)? Are those cables by any chance available in some form of nice blueish color (like this )? Thanks. |

| I wouldn't fool around with extension; they will increase resistance and create more problem. Return the PSU and get one with longer cables.

| Then the question remains: which one? I bought it at 4launch.nl, but if they'd just take it back without me buying another one there, I'd prefer getting one around Antwerp (Tones, Comtech, ...). I'd like a quiet and reliable PSU. Edit: oh, right, you're not from around here. If you could just give some tips instead of a specific shop, that'd be great too. |

| With PSU located at the bottom of the case; you'd better take some measurements as to how long those cables are needed. Try using a rope or thread of some sort; or use the Powerstream as base line to figure how much longer you need. Post the measurements here, may be other can help.

| Cables on Modstream seem to be around 40-42cm (13.3-14"). So I'd need 45cm (15") or longer. Might be best to go for 48cm (16") to be on the safe side. Just can't seem to find a PSU with those lengths of cable. |

| HEC Win550 and Ace 480 cables are =>57cm http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=get...&articID=4 03 Scythe Kamariki also meets your requirement at ~48cm Season S12 won't make it ~42cm
