| I don't think it has anything to do with browsing to that particular site the messenger service is a default service of NT/2000/XP do start -> run -> net stop messenger to stop the service to disable it go into the Service manager and set the startup to disabled or manual someone is sending messages to a whole IP subnet (217.136.186.*) and it uses default Windows accessible ports.. what firewall are you running & how is it configured?

| Tiny PF 4 No need configuring it. It blocks everything till you give it admission. Disabled messenger. Puzzled because this box has a fresh install since a week or two. Never (NEVER) had a similar message, never had TPF lettin' me down .. it even gave me trouble while folding because it blocks everything (even MBM, EMIII, ...)
