is there any software for linux that can burn image files made by clonecd/alcohol 120 for example? im kinda new with linux, slowly learning

cdrecord

Very easy to use, just google for linux cdrw howto or cdrecord howto, and one of the first hits is very helpful.

i have k3b but as far as i could figure it only does iso files
