Weird OC phenomena I have a R9600 PRO wich I can only OC tot ~320MHz (mem, artifact free in 3DM03), but if I change the settings to 8xAA and 16xAF and my res 1152*864, I can easely hit 345MHz, whitout artifacts. How can that, 6x 16x stresses the mem more than whitout ?

strange. Try atitool like jmke said or 3dmark 2001se (the pixel shader test). I have artifacts with aa on, and not with aa off.

already did that, and i even got to 349Mhz. I'll try to run it with less AA and AF.

Ok, tried it again, it only happens at 1152*864 8X 16X . My theory; the artifacts (those triangles comming from the centre) only appear when there is a lot of data that stresses the GPU and memory. At those high setting, the GPU becomes too slow to handle all the data, so the memory receives less data and is less stressed. And, how dumb/logic does this sound ?
