| Underclocking? Can anyone explain to me what use underclocking has? Someone told me about underclocking the other day and I had no idea such a thing existed. Does it actually have a use? |

| It extends battery life, lowers heat, and also saves on the electric bill. |

| ps. lower heat = less noise . Underclocked hardware also lasts longer, but you'll probably never notice the difference. |

| that's not true "per se", it's true that overclocked and overvolted CPUs can have decreased life. check the "similar threads" at the bottom of this page for more underclocking experiments. anyway, I have a feeling this new user account is fake/spam purposes
