| q8200 multiplier? Hey guys, This is my first thread and was wondering why intel decided to limit the multiplier to 7 on the q8200. And is there any way around it(which i doubt)? thanks |

| multiplier is fixed on this CPU afaik; Q8200 has 333FSB so to get the rated 2.3Ghz speed, multi 7x is used

| It's limited to x7 because Intel has other processors that have higher multipliers . It's just the basic model. And yes, the multiplier is locked. |
