| Hmmm... i saw a submerged system at Cebit2003 this year, but i can't remember which liquid was used. Something non-conductive i hope.

| Distilled water still is conductive. Very little, but as seen with the pencil tricks, you don't need a lot. Even in distilled water there are ions. H³O+ and OH- in equal amount. The liquid used for submerged cooling is an oil based liquid. Low viscosity but high evaporation point. Hard combination to find. |

| OK I think I know what you are talking about.....I live in the states and saw an article on this stuff so I did some digging. Minessota Mining and Manufacturing otherwise known as 3M happens to be one of our customers so I decided to talk to them about it and it turns out they make it. It has a strange name and yes it removes heat and no it is not conductive. It is like 200 American dollars a gallon so needless to say I didn't score any. I will look over at Tech TVs site for they did a program on it once upon a time. As Arnold says "I'll be back!!!!!" |
