| AMD XP Thorton Has anyone played with one of these before? It seems to be an excellent bang for the buck: it's a barton with 256kb disabled, and I haven't found anyone yet who didn't manage to enable the extra 256kb. I bought an XP2400+ Thorton, so after unlocking the l2 you've got a 2000mhz barton. The bad thing is: only 133fsb and most lickely locked if week >40. Positive thing is 2000mhz barton power for 62 euro. This would make it a great chip if you've got a 166fsb limited mobo, or crappy ram. : )

| The Thorton seems to be a good buy. Currently running 160*15 (2400mhz) with a Tt aero 7 at medium speed (60 degrees idle) and 1.69v, no stability issues yet. : )

| Yeah, if it where unlocked it 'd be a killer chip. The Chaintech doesn't work well above 166fsb, so it doesn't really bother me that i can't change the mp. It's still a great buy for fsb limited mobo's.

| I've let it run prime overnight. No problem with silent aircooling running 2400mhz at 1.63v. With H2O or phasechange one might even get a decent fsb with this proc. : )
