| Two Palit 1GB video cards review Icrontic.com has reviewed two Palit graphics cards sporting 1GB of memory; the GeForce 9600GT 1GB Sonic and the Radeon HD3850 Super+1GB. Both cards sport well over the normal amount of video RAM, but we show that bigger doesn't always mean better. "Just because the reference design of these cards call for a standard 512MB of onboard GDDR capacity does not mean that manufacturers have to abide. One such manufacturer, Palit, thinks that more is better and offers several card revisions with a full 1GB of onboard memory. There is so little distinguishing graphics cards these days, so it is always refreshing to see options like this. Whether or not a full gigabyte of onboard memory can make a difference—we'll see for ourselves." http://icrontic.com/articles/palit-9600gt-hd3850 |
