| Soitec wins big AMD SOI wafer deal FRENCH FIRM Soitec said it has won a big deal to supply its Unibond silicon on insulation (SOI) wafers to microprocessor firm AMD. Soitec's order from AMD will be worth $50 million this year but it is a multi-year agreement to supply the CPU firm with 200mm and 300mm wafers using the Smart Cut process. It said that it's already supplied AMD with volume quantities of thin film Unibond SOI substrates for its processors. µ http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=20741
