| PR: Scythe announces Bay Rafter 3.5 With its Bay Rafter 3.5, Scythe Co., Ltd. (Tokyo, Japan) presents a simple and practical system to mount commercially available 3.5" hard disk drives in the 5.25" bays of a PC chassis. For optimum use of space in a PC chassis, the hard drives can be mounted with screws to the only 90 grams weight Scythe Bay Rafter 3.5, this then is slided into the 5.25" drive bay and fastened with screws. With the Bay Rafter it is possible to use every 5.25" bay with one HDD each - no free slot bays are getting lost anymore. To avoid data loss and a prolong the life of modern hard disks, it is necessary to cool down the HDDs actively regarding the thermal conditions within a PC chassis. Therefore, Scythe Bay Rafter 3.5 offers the user to mount a fan on the bottom side. To give the user an optimal range of fans that can be used, the Scythe Bay Rafter 3.5 offers mounting holes to use either 120 mm, 92 mm or 80 mm fan. Depending on the selection of the fan, users can select between optimum cooling performance and low noise level. Scythe Bay Rafter 3.5 is now commercially available for US$ 5.80 excluding TAX / 3.90 Euro excluding VAT. http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/products...rafter-35.html
