But product can not patronize the performance, price is also very important reference factor. Since Core i3 530 will listing two weeks later and price is $123, while Athlon II X4 620 current market quotes is only $99, and that at a glance you can see whos cost performance is high. Athlon II X4 620 is not only the better choice now,After Core i3 530 launch, its cost/performance still is better

4 real cores > 2real + 2ht cores, and AMD is cheaper.

do check out the gaming benchies, which are in favor of raw CPU power of the Core i3, but still, the AMD is clocked 300Mhz lower and can keep up

I have to admit, Athlon II X4 really is quite a bargain and won't be outdated when Core i3 is released

You don't need 4 cores most of the time, but what if they're cheaper...

Both cpu's at equal clockspeed would be more fair imo.

Why didn't they test the Athlon II X4 630
