| Intel Core 2 Cache test: Seven CPUs review The fastest CPU tested, the Core 2 Duo E8600, is able to beat the Celeron Dualcore E1400 by more than 47 percent on the average of the tests displayed here ( Cinebench Single Thread, Cinebench OpenGL are missing) - with both CPUs running at the same core clock speed and the same FASB that is! The Core 2 Duo E7300 is only slightly better than the E6700. The latter one is only rescued by the good 3DMark 2001 result - in games the Wolfdale is the better choice, like the E5300 proofs if compared to the E4400. This rating doesn't even include the lower power consumption and the on average better overclocking capabilities with the modern commands. At about half way towards the basic CPU you will find the still Conroe based Pentium Dualcore - but you should buy this processor only if price is your absolute top priority and you don't have much money available. Regardless of its Core 2 architecture you better shouldn't bother with the Celeron Dualcore E1400, the more so as it is only 10 Euros cheaper than the Pentium Dualcore E2180 http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,6...CPUs_reviewed/
