| Faulty foil caused overheating Xbox 360 THE FIRST WAVE of Xbox 360s overheated because, when Microsoft built the machines, it forgot to take the foil wrappers off the heatsinks. So, when the machines first hit the shops last year, Volish switchboards were flooded with complaints that machines were overheating and cutting out.
