| Desktop GeForce 7900 GS spotted in Dell system French site PC INpact has spotted an unannounced NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS graphics card (translate here) selling as an option in a Dell XPS 600 desktop system. NVIDIA launched a mobile GeForce Go 7900 GS last month, but this GeForce 7900 GS is a desktop model that Dell indeed offers alongside dual GeForce 7900 GTXs and an ATI Radeon X1900 XTX in its XPS 600 machine. PC INpact says the 7900 GS's existence has been confirmed by NVIDIA, and that it is a G71 derivative with 20 pixel shader processors, seven vertex units, and 450 MHz/1.2 GHz core and memory clocks. In contrast, the current GeForce 7900 GT sports 24 pixel shaders, eight vertex shaders, and 450 MHz/1.32 GHz core and memory clocks.
