| DDR3 memory standard ratified MEMORY STANDARDS association JEDEC said that it has now formally completed the development and publication of the DDR3 devie standard. JEDEC said it expects DDR3 to be broadly adopted and gives big improvements in performance at reduced power compared to DDR1 and DDR2. Intel and JEDEC board member Paul Fahey said that DDR3 will be important for notebooks, and for high performance systems including video on demand, encoding and decoding, gaming and 3D visualisation. http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=40596
