Default Blizzard Confirms Diablo III in development

Blizzard Entertainment today confirmed it is working on Diablo III, a video game long rumored to be in production with little chatter from Blizzard. Announced for the first time during Blizzard's 2008 WorldWide Invitational (WWI), the company also provided a handful of game details to help draw interest to the game.

Even though Diablo, Mephisto and Baal were slain in Diablo II, Tristam is again under siege by evil creatures that players will have to eliminate. The game is being designed to focus more on cooperative play instead of soloing through the world.

Making interesting games on smaller budgets is how PC games will survive. Developers need to learn that mediocre games with tons of hype won't sell as well on PC as consoles. So either make great expensive games or cheaper mediocre ones because your target audience is most likely older and able to make better informed purchases. I think this will be a great expensive game and will sell an insane number of copies because Blizzard doesn't seem adverse to wasting a lot of money and time for quality (SC Ghost is good example of how far they're willing to go for this.)

what I mean is that games which are based on single player experience on the PC are rapidly decreasing in market size. Console market is much more profitable
