I bought an AMD FX-57 (2.8Ghz) for a good price with the aim to overclock it as far as possible

CABNE 0530APMW looks to be a good stepping and production week, overclock reports coming in from people running 3ghz with good air cooling. I assembled a system with these parts:

  • AMD Atlon64 FX57 s939 2,8GHz 1Mb l2-cache
  • DFI nf4 Lanparty Ultra-D
  • 2x256MB BH-5 and 2x512Mb BH-5
  • S3 PCI video card *
  • OCZ Powerstream 600W

    * I planned to use a slightly higher end model ;) but unfortunately had no other available.
