From all sidesIf the name of this case was the red line throughout the design choices it would mean that we have an AMMO box in the picture below:
I have to say the design choices made are okay, they did no go overboard with the plastic front, it still resembles the other series but it has undergone a bevel/emboss layer. The edges are more visually present and the plastic edges have been finished of by aluminum bars to add a touch of class.
The left side panel has
two rectangular cut outs with a heavy duty looking grill in front of them; the side panels also feature an extra plastic/aluminum add on at the top and bottom which fits well with the design.
The right panel has a slight bevel and 4 logo’s similar to those found on ammunition crates, it’s what I would expect to see on a custom mod done by enthusiast.
It would have been nice to see parts on the back side of the case (and inside) painted in black to fit the overall case theme.
Small and larger detailsA case made for the LAN visiting crowd should be easy to carry; the AMMO’s handle is very comfortable and well constructed
These are the most original Start/Reset buttons I’ve seen on a retail chassis
Although it was a suitable choice for the overall case design to have these buttons covered like they were army-grade launch buttons, the position at the top and the plastic cover might become a burden and it’s really just a gimmick with a minimum of functionality.
The feet of the case however have plenty of functionality; made out of rather soft rubber they absorb vibration.
Let’s dissamble the AMMO and see what’s inside ->
