Introduction:LSCool is new to the computer thermal management field. A Company from South Korea; LSCool has an identical Company Logo as
LGCable which manufacturers RF and Commercial cables plus other products.
Heat pipes used on PC cooling became popular in recent years. It also has its flaw as stated "Poor behavior in case of overheating - if the heat source is too strong, and the heat pipe is heated beyond its specified temperature, it may happen that no condensation occurs anymore, and the entire working "fluid" inside the heat pipe is in vapour form. In this situation, the heat pipe's ability to transport heat collapses. This is a danger to consider when relying on heat pipes for cooling sensitive elements." You will find more explained
here where I still believe the orientation of the heat pipe affects the performance outcome however slight or large while others find different orientation of the heat pipes has no negative effect on performance.
Accordinly, LSCool has several heatsink fan models to fit current CPU sockets; LG775, S-478 and A64 S939/754. Today, we are looking into the SHX-500 for S-478 and A64 platforms.
Although the website name is LSCool, the package marking says LSCable, it is always a welcome to see a new Company in the arena for the PC enthusiasts.
The package contains one manual, a tiny screw driver and a retention bracket for A64 platform
