AQIRYS ARA Gaming Headset Review

Audio/Others by stefan @ 2024-10-16

We have tested ARA in games such as The Crew Motorfest, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, Dustborn but also Diablo 4; the EQ this product does use results in clear highs, balanced mids, while the bass is not overpowering the whole experience. The offered volume is impressively loud, meaning we never felt the need to use it over 50%, while the overall low weight of about 311g is ideal not to notice you are wearing the headset after longer gaming sessions. ARA is constructed from good quality plastic so it won’t creak during adjustment process.

A Closer Look Part III

The break-away cable is 0.6m in length and comes with 2x TRS 3.5mm jack plugs:

When connecting to Stereo sources, we also need the 1.5m audio cable, with TRRS 3.5mm jack plugs:

The charging cable is USB-C on the headset side and USB-A on the computer/charger side; the internal battery is rated at 1000mA, with a maximum charging time of 3 hours. If we turn the RGB off, we can expect up to 50 hours of continuous use, while using up to 50% of the total volume:

The headset features an over-ear design, with large cups to accommodate the 50mm audio drivers; the housing is made of plastic to keep costs and weight low:

In the upper area we will note thick padding with some orifices for allowing air circulation:

The cups can be rotated more than 90 degrees, to increase the level of comfort and allow easier manipulation:

The outer area of the cups does come with a metallic grill and underneath it we do have a light diffuser to allow the RGB lighting to shine through; in the middle we have an AQIRYS logo, also RGB enabled with a steel imitation around it:
