Razer Deathadder V3 Hyperspeed Gaming Mouse Review

Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2024-09-21

The DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed is impressively lightweight for a wireless mouse and comes with the essentials from ultra-high-end mice such as the newly introduced Dynamic Sensitivity or the Rotation function. The shape fits like a glove, the buttons are durable thanks to the Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3, while the Focus X 26K Optical Sensor offers plenty of precision for most mainstream and competitive gamers.

Impressions and Conclusive Thoughts

The DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed is impressively lightweight for a wireless mouse and comes with the essentials from ultra-high-end mice such as the newly introduced Dynamic Sensitivity or the Rotation function. The shape fits like a glove, the buttons are durable thanks to the Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3, while the Focus X 26K Optical Sensor offers plenty of precision for most mainstream and competitive gamers.

The DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed can also do 8000Hz as the polling rate with the additional purchase of Razer's HyperPolling Dongle but keep in mind that the autonomy will be decreased considerably in this mode from 100 hours to about 20 from a single charge.

The build quality of the DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed is great, while the smooth finish without the use of rubber is our go-to solution so the mouse won’t develop wear spots after a period.

The only thing we did not like about this mouse is the USB cable, which is made of regular rubber, without any braiding so it adds a bit of drag while using the mouse in wired mode. For the high-end segment this mouse takes part in, we consider a paracord-type cable a must, to enjoy gaming in both modes, but in this case the decision was made to keep the costs down. Speaking if the cost, the DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed can be found currently online for about 98 Euros, notably less than the Viper V3 Pro we have tested a while go.
