Razer Deathadder V3 Hyperspeed Gaming Mouse Review

Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2024-09-21

The DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed is impressively lightweight for a wireless mouse and comes with the essentials from ultra-high-end mice such as the newly introduced Dynamic Sensitivity or the Rotation function. The shape fits like a glove, the buttons are durable thanks to the Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3, while the Focus X 26K Optical Sensor offers plenty of precision for most mainstream and competitive gamers.

A Closer Look Part III

The DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed does come with a shape specifically made for right-handed gamers, with an all-black curved chassis, like previous releases of the same series. It does not come with flashy RGB lighting and the main LED in the front is only there for showing the CPI levels, pairing and battery status. The highest point is concentrated to the left side and not in the middle as we noted with other ambidextrous shapes, a point to make which ensures comfort during longer gaming sessions:

The smooth texturing is present on the left/right buttons as well, with grooves on the left and mouse buttons to avoid slipping; Gen-3 Optical Razer switches ensure durability with about 90 million presses, with an impressive 0.2ms actuation and zero debounce delay:

Near the activity LED we have the rubberized scroll wheel, which is precise, with notable steps moving forwards and backwards:

The left side of the mouse does include two extra programmable buttons, easy to access with our thumb:

The curved back also includes a subtle, black Razer logo:

The right side is ideal for resting our fingers:

On the bottom area, we will note two large white PTFE feet and a circular, smaller one around the sensor lens. Speaking of the sensor, we do have the Focus X 26K Optical Sensor from Razer, with a maximum DPI of 26000, a maximum speed of 500 IPS and a maximum acceleration of 40 G. Nearby, we also have the Power/DPI selector button:

A closer look on the frontal side, we will note the opening for fitting the USB cable while charging or when gaming in wired mode:

The dongle compartment is also on the bottom, which makes use of magnetic force:

Depending on the current mouse state, the frontal LED will light up accordingly:
