The 2.4GHz USB dongle was built specifically for the Viper V3 Pro and won’t work with other Razer mice; the top LED near the Razer logo can be configured for showing the battery indicator continuously, to light up only when the battery is low or for when there are communication issues:
In the frontal area of the dongle, we will note the HyperPolling feature; depending on the Polling Rate you choose, you will expect different battery life figures:
-up to 95 hours at 1000Hz
-up to 62 hours at 2000Hz
-up to 40 hours at 4000Hz
-up to 17 hours at 8000Hz
What is interesting is the mouse is limited to 1000Hz polling rate while in wired mode:
In the area with the USB-C port, we will note the Viper V3 Pro logo:
The model code name can be observed on the bottom, together with the supported standards, all printed on a small rubber foot:
On the computer side, the braided USB cable does come with an USB-A interface:
On the mouse/dongle side, we have an USB-C interface:
The Viper V3 Pro does come with a symmetrical shape we particularly enjoy with mice and a familiar characteristic regarding the number of buttons. The rear-shifted hump does offer extra support, with flatter sidewalls, to accommodate most types of grips:
The minimal aesthetic of the mouse is preserved in the frontal area as well, where we do have a rubber scroll wheel with extra grip points; the wheel does not wobble and remains silent even when operated quickly. Nearby we will find the status LED:
