The Viper V3 Pro mouse from Razer takes part of the ultra-high-end series of gaming mice, incorporating a lightweight chassis of only 54g, a familiar design with great comfort for your hand, the 35K Optical Sensor Gen-2, up to 8000 Hz polling rate in wireless mode but also powerful software with features such as Mouse Rotation and Dynamic Sensitivity.

Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

Many times, the Razer products were identifiable via their RGB capabilities, a signature characteristic with many of their products. However, when the company wants to demonstrate its ultimate force against the competition, we do note releases of products that feature only the most necessary features and not all bells and whistles. The Viper V3 Pro is a very good example in this regard, with a premium construction, a weight of only 54g excluding the cable and the dongle (it is not even a holed design!), incorporating the latest Focus Pro 35K Optical Sensor Gen-2 with a maximum DPI of 35K, a maximum polling rate of 8000 Hz, a dedicated dongle capable of this performance, Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3 with 90-million actuation rating, but also a powerful software to drive this hardware!

The Viper V3 Pro is shipped inside a small cardboard enclosure, showing a photo of the product but also some of the main characteristics in the frontal area:

On the side of the box, we will note some gaming teams supported by Razer, along with the box contents and hardware/software requirements:

A more comprehensive list of features is present on the back, and here we will also learn the fact we can order the mouse in both black and white variants, while it gets backed by a 2-year warranty:

By removing the seals, we could lift the top cover; the mouse is sitting secure inside a black cardboard mold, together with the wireless dongle:

Besides the aforementioned dongle, we will also receive some documentation and the USB cable for charging, firmware updates but also for using the mouse in wired mode:

The user guide will show the user the main product interfaces, how to read the current charging status of the integrated battery, usage modes, how to change current DPI steps, but also how to operate Synapse:

We will also receive a set of grip tapes, if we feel the standard finishing is not grippy enough for us:

A nice set of Razer stickers is also available:
