ENDORFY Thock 75% Wireless Red Onyx White Pudding Gaming Keyboard Review

Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2024-07-07

After fiddling a bit with the software settings, we fired up Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, The First Descendant, Alan Wake II but also New World. The keyboard felt very responsive, with the pleasant actuation as we have also found with CHERRY MX Reds. In terms of bottoming out noise, this one places itself in the middle of the pack, since it does not come with as much dampening layers as we noted with other brands, but overall it does its job admirably.

A Closer Look Part III

After the removal of the Esc keycap, we will reveal the Kailh Box Red switch; these have an actuation distance of 1.8mm, with a total travel of 3.6mm, while the operating force is set at 45g. They sport a light linear characteristic like the previous Kailh Red switches but integrate some enhancements:

Here are some close shots of the switch out of the board:

The board is compatible with any other 3 or 5 pin switches:

The used Pudding keycaps do feature a white top, but a semi-transparent lower area, to allow LED light to shine through, for a very nice effect! These are PBT Double-Shot so no need to worry about durability:

On the bottom area of the keyboard, we will note the all-white plastic layer, with an interesting pattern. The central sticker is showing us the product code name but also its serial number:

A dedicated compartment is holding the keycap remover, but also the WiFi dongle; the dongle is held secure with magnetic force:

Rubber feet are present on the sides:

The keyboard features dual kickstands, for adjusting the Thock 75% Wireless Pudding Onyx White at two different angles:
