Shuttle has recently released another generation of fanless 1-litre miniPCs from the XPC slim generation, sporting the DL30N, DL30N2 and DL30N3 code names. These all are equipped with Alter Lake-N SoCs, and to be more precise the Intel N100, N200 and Core i3-N300, optimized for very low power consumption and integrating only efficiency cores. The DL30N we will review in this article does integrate the N100, with four cores and a maximum Turbo frequency of 3.4GHz, while backed by a 6MB Intel Smart Cache. In terms of the GPU, we have Intel UHD Graphics, with a maximum frequency of 750MHz and a total of 24 execution units. The N100 SoC does support DDR4 at 3200 MT/s, DDR5 at 4800 MT/s and LPDDR5 at 4800 MT/s; in the case of DL30N, we do have a single channel DDR5-4800 slot available on the board, for a maximum of 16GB.
The product is shipped inside a medium-sized cardboard enclosure with the usual Shuttle box art:
On the side, we will note some of the product specifications, along with the serial number, but also a QR code:
The box can be easily carried around thanks to the included plastic handle:
After lifting the top cover, we will note that the inside contents are carefully protected by foam material:
The additional hardware bundle is offered in a separate cardboard bag; both barebone and documentation are wrapped in plastic bags (the manual is in a re-sealable bag):
Besides the Quick Guide, we will also receive the installation instructions for the VESA mount:
Let’s look at the accessories box:
We will receive the power adapter, the power cable, different sets of screws, a thick thermal pad for the SSD but also the VESA mounts:
