SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5 Wireless Gaming Headset Review

Audio/Others by stefan @ 2024-07-31

After working a bit with the settings in Sonar, we fired up The Callisto Protocol, DOOM, Wolfenstein: The New Order but also Escape The Backrooms. Even if we are dealing with 40mm drivers, the audio quality is well balanced, with clear highs and well represented bass. We did enjoy the spatialization, while the microphone quality really impresses in terms of clarity.

Android App

The headset is also backed up by a mobile application, the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5 and can be easily installed from the store:

We will first need to complete the pairing process:

The app helps us to change the EQ on-the-fly, depending on the interface, without the need to work with Sonar on the PC:

Additionally, we can adjust the microphone volume level, the sidetone level or the LED brightness:

The Audio Limiter can be enabled or disabled:

Over 100 game audio presets for the EQ are available within the app itself:

The Settings area of the application does allow working with the Power Management timer, check current firmware, restore defaults or check other information:
