CHERRY MC 9620 FPS RGB Gaming Mouse Review

Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2024-06-02

MC 9620 FPS from CHERRY is an interesting mainstream offering, based on the proven PMW3360 and offering enough extra buttons for configuration purposes, when thinking more about a design meant for First Person Shooters. Granted, this is not one of the lightest mice we have encountered, but fits well in hand given its larger footprint with the palm rest extended, allowing accommodation of multiple hand shapes and sizes.

A Closer Look Part III

The exposed compartment underneath will show three weights, but also the two small magnets; a closer look will also show the three small DPI LEDs:

Thanks to the design of the magnet compartments, these are easily removable:

Each of the magnets does come with a 5g of weight:

The cable is braided, but is not as flexible as the one we have seen with other brands and will introduce a bit of drag; this inconvenience will be eliminated if the mouse is used along with a bungee:

The USB connector is in USB-A format and features the CHERRY logo:

After connecting the mouse to our test machine, we will note the light-enabled segments:
