After charging the MZ1 Wireless fully, we started testing in Redfall, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Diablo 4, Anvil but also in Halo Infinite. We did really enjoy the claw grip, while the textured plastic does feel good even during longer gaming sessions. The mouse did track flawlessly on our CORSAIR MM700 RGB Extended pad, and we were quite surprised of the overall mouse weight, considering that it also hods a 500 mAh battery.

When switching to wireless mode, we made sure to use the cable extender and the adapter in order to avoid extra latency or interruptions; the experience was similar as in wired mode and we can really get a good autonomy of up to 75 hours of use if we turn the LED lighting off.

As we have noted with other CHERRY XTRFY products, the MZ1 Wireless does not come with a dedicated software application, all settings being available via button combinations and by using the bottom switch in different positions. This needs a bit of a learning curve, but afterwards you will feel right at home and because you do not depend on specific software, compatibility is extended to other non-Windows OSes as well.

Other interesting choices of design besides the unique shape are the selection of weight balance, the mounting system of the back cover, which uses a screw instead of magnetic force but also the ability to map the top button as Page Down, so it can be re-mapped again in games for different other functions.
