XTRFY MZ1 RGB Wireless White Gaming Mouse Review

Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2023-12-03

After charging the MZ1 Wireless fully, we started testing in Redfall, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Diablo 4, Anvil but also in Halo Infinite. We did really enjoy the claw grip, while the textured plastic does feel good even during longer gaming sessions. The mouse did track flawlessly on our CORSAIR MM700 RGB Extended pad, and we were quite surprised of the overall mouse weight, considering that it also hods a 500 mAh battery.

A Closer Look Part III

The MZ1 Wireless is equipped with the proven PixArt PAW3370 sensor, capable of a maximum CPI of 19000, while the maximum tracking speeds is 400 IPS:

After removing the back cover via the screw, we will note the internal RGB segment, which features the XTRFY logo and we will also note that the internal PCB is white as well:

The button covers for the left and right click can be removed as well, being held with two clips; CHERRY XTRFY is using Kailh GM 8.0 buttons here, for a durability of 80 million actuations:

Here is also a small comparison between the two types of back covers, where the hump on the left is higher than the one on the right:

The installation of the replacement back cover can be done really easy:

Between the two buttons, under the scroll wheel, we will also note the USB-C port:

Thanks to the translucent chassis, the RGB lighting bleeds on the sides as well, but we have noted that the central area is not lighted up due to missing LEDs for that specific zone:
