XTRFY MZ1 RGB Wireless White Gaming Mouse Review

Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2023-12-03

After charging the MZ1 Wireless fully, we started testing in Redfall, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Diablo 4, Anvil but also in Halo Infinite. We did really enjoy the claw grip, while the textured plastic does feel good even during longer gaming sessions. The mouse did track flawlessly on our CORSAIR MM700 RGB Extended pad, and we were quite surprised of the overall mouse weight, considering that it also hods a 500 mAh battery.

Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

Another interesting gaming mouse has arrived in our test labs and this time we are talking about the XTRFY MZ1 RGB Wireless White from CHERRY XTRFY. This mouse was designed by Rocket Jump Ninja, has an unique feature which does allow adjusting the weight balance, comes with two separate back covers (the pre-installed one has a higher hump, while the backup does come with a lower hump), allows gameplay of up to 75 hours from a single charge, does weight only about 62g without the cable and more!

The product can be purchased with either black and white color scheme and is packed inside a compact cardboard enclosure. The frontal area does show a photo of the mouse in operation but also small logos which highlight the main product features:

Some extra info is included on the sides as well, along with a photo on the left side of the mouse:

Exact measurements are provided on the bottom area, along with a small product description, but also the complete list of specifications:

After removing the top cover, we will note that the mouse sits secure on the top layer, while the bottom is occupied by the accessories:

Speaking of the bundle, we will receive the necessary cabling, the extra back cover, a small screwdriver, but also a small envelope:

Inside the envelope, we will receive a set of PTFE replacement feet, but also an XTRFY sticker;

The Quick Guide does inform the user on how to utilize the main mouse interfaces, but also how to access the button shortcuts which allow different customization, since MZ1 does not come with dedicated software:

The supplied back does feature a less aggressive curve versus the one pre-installed on the mouse:

The USB cable is braided for extra durability, while the connectors are branded. On the mouse side we will note an USB-C interface, while on the computer side we do have an USB-A:

An USB-C to USB-A adapter is also supplied, in order to connect the WiFi dongle as far away as possible from the computer, in order to avoid interference and maximize the range:
