SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL 2023 Gaming Keyboard Review

Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2023-11-19

The Apex Pro TKL 2023 improves on the previous design, offering a great level of customization thanks to the OmniPoint 2.0 magnetic switches with Hall Effect. These are pleasant to actuate and the selected keys can have two functions, depending on the selected actuation distance; each key can be selected with a different actuation distance and the Rapid Trigger brings advantages sometimes found with some gamepads. We did play Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint and noted that we could easily switch between walking and running with a single key and this feature can be used with a ton of other games as well!

SteelSeries has recently updated the Apex Pro series of mechanical keyboards with the new 2023 versions, which do feature a wider range of adjustable actuation points (between 0.2mm and 3.8mm) but also a dual actuation feature, where each key can have two different actuation points, for two different preset functions!

The Apex Pro TKL 2023 has arrived in a medium-sized cardboard enclosure, showing a photo of the keyboard in operation, but also highlighting the presence of the OmniPoint 2.0 Switches:
