AQIRYS ALYA Wireless Gaming Headset Review

Audio/Others by stefan @ 2023-10-06

The ALYA wireless headset comes with a balanced EQ in terms of frequencies, with clear highs and not over-the-top lows. After watching quite a bit of YouTube clips, TV shows and playing games such as Last Epoch, Uncharted, Quake II Enhanced and Need for Speed Unbound, we did enjoy the overall experience when it comes to the sound signature. What we found interesting is that the EQ does not seem to modify at all when operating ALYA on Bluetooth versus WiFi, so expect the headset to behave exactly the same.

A Closer Look Part II

The carry bag is offered in a black color, with a large AQIRYS logo in front:

In terms of cables, we will note the 1.5m USB-C charging cable (with USB-A connector facing the power source), a Stereo audio cable (1m in length, TRRS 3.5mm jack plugs), but also a 0.6m break-away audio cable splitter with 2x TRS 3.5mm jack plugs. The microphone is also included here:

Here is a closer look at the cables:

The microphone comes with a flexible body, offers an omnidirectional pick-up pattern, a frequency response between 100Hz and 10KHz, a sensitivity of -42 +/- 3dB, while the impedance is <= 2200 Ohm; it does also provide nearby noise cancellation:

The rest of the hardware bundle is composed of two red kitty ears, two extra flexible headbands (one pink and one blue), but also the USB WiFi dongle:

The two kitty ears can be easily attached to the plastic headband, since these are made from soft silicone:
