The guide will show the usage modes but also how to connect to other sound sources:
First, we will note the USB-A Extension cable, which also helps with compatibility (if the machine you are connecting to is not equipped with an USB-C port):
The main cable is USB-C to USB-C:
A more interesting cable is the one which connects to the headset via USB-C interface, while the other end comes with a 3.5mm jack plug; when using such cable, the RGB lighting on the headset will not operate since it is an analog-only communication:
Right after getting the Arctis Nova 3 out of the packaging, we will note some extra layers of protection as well:
Getting these out of the way as well, we will note right away a much slimmer overall design, which also helps with weight reduction:
On the outside of the right cup, we will note a central SteelSeries logo; which is surrounded by a RGB-enabled light circle:
The RGB illumination can be disabled without the need of extra software, but only by using a dedicated switch:
For maximum comfort and for occupying less during travel, the cups can be swiveled; the AirWeave memory foam pads are slimmer than the previous Arctis designs but maintain the same level of comfort as before. The choice of materials is much durable than when using leatherette and do not get in the way of comfort for people wearing glasses. The channels are marked (L/R), while the 40mm drivers come with a frequency response between 20 and 20kHz, a sensitivity of 93 dBSPL and an impedance of 36 Ohm:
The left cup retains the same design, only here we will also note the tip of the retractable microphone:
