Sabrent Rocket 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 Memory Kit Review

Memory by stefan @ 2022-06-01

The Rocket DDR5 4800MHz U-DIMM memory modules are Sabrent’s first attempt of products in this category and boy…they quite deliver! While not having a preloaded XMP profile, they come with the compatible JEDEC profiles, which each and every motherboard supporting the DDR5 standard should be able to work with it. In terms of performance, while they are marketed at 4800Mhz, they can be overclocked to impressive speeds of about 6000MHz, so a lot of free performance without spending extra money on a rated DDR5 kit with those same speeds!

A Closer Look Contd.

Taking a closer look on the left side, we will note the name of the product series, the type of RAM modules but also the stock operating frequency; also, here we will note that the module was developed by Sabrent in the USA:

The module capacity is printed on the right, together with a Rocket branding logo:

While looked from the top, we will note how thin the module is, given the new heatsink solution:

Even in this case, Sabrent was able to fit some extra info on the frame:

The back side of the heatsink does feature a Rocket logo in the middle:

A closer look does feature the product serial number, code name and we will be also noted that the modules were manufactured in Taiwan; the 16GB Sabrent DDR5 4800 module is single-sided, the whole set of components being available only on the front side:

Here is a photo of the modules installed in our test system, ready for benching!
