SteelSeries Arctis 7P Wireless Gaming Headset Review

Audio/Others by stefan @ 2021-04-26

After connecting the headset to our test computer, we have adjusted the EQ settings and then went ahead to play various games such as Forza 4, Outsiders, Drift City and Call of Duty: Warzone: the headset is being able to deliver the same pleasing audio quality as the Arctis 9, with well represented bass and clear highs and we have found the Sidetone Volume wheel to be quite handy when talking with the fellow gamers. The only missing feature is the DTS HeadphoneX V2 surround, which was quite accurate, and we enjoyed it quite a bit on the Arctis 9 model; this was replaced by Playstation 5’s Tempest 3D AudioTech, present on the described console.

A Closer Look Part III

The Sky Google Headband is fully adjustable and offers a lot of comfort when used for lengthy gaming sessions; this one as well comes with the Playstation color theme:

On the top area of the headband we can find the same type of flexible fabric:

As accessories for the headset, we will find a USB-C to USB-A adapter cable, a Micro-USB charging cable but also the 4-pole 3.5mm audio cable; the supplied USB-C dongle is very compact when compared to the ones from the previous models:

The USB-C to USB-A adapter cable allows the dongle to be used on older devices as well, equipped only USB-A but most importantly it allows placing the dongle much farther in order to avoid interferences which do usually minimize the operating range:

Here are some close shots of the dongle as well:

We can straight install the dongle in the USB port of our smartphone, but we found this difficult if the terminal does also have a protective case installed:
