We have used quite a bit of mice with Pixart 3389 sensor and even some from Dream Machines (DM1 FPS, DM2 Supreme) and we knew what to expect in terms of tracking. The choice DM made to use a rubberized layer on the entire top cover of the DM6 Holey S is great for comfort and grip, but it will pick up skin oils and lint quite easily, which are quite difficult to remove after a while.
The holed design really helps bringing the weight down and the top chassis does not seem to flex when pressed from the top or from the sides; however, the left side panel does flex a bit when pressing with our thumb. We have one thing to note though: the included PTFE feet are really small, will wear out quite quickly when used in competitive games (also depends on the surface) and we have no replacements offered for free in the box as with the other models, for an unknown reason.
The software is not yet available for download, but from what we have seen, we will have the possibility to remap the mouse buttons, configure LOD, work with profiles adjust the DPI values for the steps and more!
Dream Machines have always set their products as being quite affordable and the Holey S is not an exception: 39.99 Euros at the time of the review.
