RAM has decreased quite a bit in price and mainstream kits are now more affordable than ever! The Patriot Memory Signature Line Premium is one of the solid choices you could take into account if you are not interested in RGB kits and are building or upgrading a system with a good price/performance ratio. The kit does not have XMP pre-programmed profiles but is compatible with most platforms and thanks to the low-profile heatspreader you won’t have any issues when using beefier CPU heatsinks or smaller enclosures.

The latencies of these kits are higher than the “gaming” series of RAM modules, but after a bit of tweaking you can obtain of extra performance; not all applications/games will benefit though, because with the raise of frequencies we also needed to up the CAS values as well.
