The top area of the GLAIVE PRO chassis does have a rubberized layer; in the back, as with the original GLAIVE we are getting an RGB-enabled CORSAIR logo:
On the left side of the unit, we’ve got the forward/back buttons with a grippy texture, which are easy to access; further down we’ve got the default (interchangeable) thumb grip, that features a separate rubber layer on itself; in the front, we can see a bit of the aluminum layer, but now painted in black (the version with the non-painted aluminum frame is available again as well):
On the opposite side, we’ve got another RGB lighting segment and the panel for resting our ring and pinky fingers; a similar textured rubber layer is also available here:
In the front, we have got visible the rest of the aluminum layer, but also another RGB-enabled segment, which we will show later in action:
The bottom area of the unit does come with large PTFE feet, but also the updated custom PixArt 18000 DPI sensor, that can be customized in increments of 1 DPI. This model uses a custom PMW3391 optical sensor and its minimum configuration value is 100 DPI, that is great for sniping; the optical sensor can track and report the position of the cursor up to 400 inches per second, with an acceleration of up to 50G. Several CORSAIR mice we have reviewed before do sport the same sensor and performed admirably (IronClaw RGB, M65 RGB Elite):
As we have seen with many high-end mice from CORSAIR, the USB cable is braided, for additional durability:
The USB connector does have a refreshed design, as we have seen with other 2019 peripheral models from CORSAIR:
The interchangeable (thumb) side grips have different shapes and sizes in order to fit most user preferences; these are held fixed with magnetic force, in order to install/remove in a couple of seconds:
