Since we can install more powerful CPUs inside the system (up to 65W TDP), extra ventilation is needed; perforations can be seen on the top cover, for both included fans:

In the front, we’ve got the microphone jack, a headphone jack, the Power LED, a HDD/SSD activity LED, a central Power button, a SD Card reader, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type A ports but also two USB 2.0 ports:

On both sides of the unit we have mounting holes, but also Kensington ports:

On the back, we will get to see the DC Power Input, perforations for the WiFi antennas (optional kit), a HDMI 2.0 video output, a DisplayPort (DP 1.2) video output, two RJ45 Gigabit LAN ports, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type A ports and two USB 2.0 ports. A connector for installing a secondary Power button, Clear CMOS and 5V DC voltage output (for different applications) is available, but also a COM1 port (RS232) and COM2 port (RS232/RS422/R485) for even more usage patterns:

The bottom area of the unit does come with four small rubber feet (to help in case the unit will be installed horizontally):

On the applied sticker, Shuttle has included the power rating of the system (in case we will use a different adapter than the one supplied):

By removing two screws and sliding the top cover backwards, we can expose the internals:

The top cover holes do also have a filter applied, in order to keep the dust bunnies away:

On a first look, we can spot two 60mm PWM-controlled fans pre-installed on the heatsink, but also the 2.5’’ HDD/SSD mounting bracket:
