The Tronsmart Vega S95 Telos is performing as promised by the manufacturer, being able to playback 4K content without any issues at all and at the same time it is able to display the image at this resolution with a frequency of 60Hz. We do get plenty of possibilities to connect extra storage to it via the included USB 2.0 ports, the SATA Data/Power interface but also via LAN, Wi-Fi or even the SD Card reader. The 3D performance of the product is also quite decent so considering that we do actually have a fully-functional Android 5.1.1 mini-PC on our hands, we can install plenty of other applications on it via Play Store.

HEVC is also a non-issue for this player since it does feature hardware decoding for H.265; we have tested multiple files of this type and playback was fluent on both USB and SATA interfaces; H.265 is a future-proof standard since it can display very high quality video while keeping the file size small.

For people which miss streaming from mobile devices, Miracast is also available as a separate application so we can connect our Android smartphone/tablet right away.

Lastly, we would like to point out again that the included launcher is pretty handy with large fonts and navigation buttons including screenshot capabilities, Power On/Off/Restart are included on the lower bar.

The only negative point is related to the SATA adapter, which does not look stellar with all those different color wires and the drive which needs to stay outside the unit. We would have liked to be able to plug in the drive right inside the unit, with a hot-swap feature, even if this would have meant a taller chassis for the S95 mini-PC.

Tronsmart Vega S95 Telos is available online for about 93 Euros, which is quite decent for the features offered.
