The MQ02ABF075 drive from Toshiba exhibits good performances for a 5400RPM drive and comes with two platters and four heads on a 7mm form factor. This drive is mostly meant for ultrabooks and high-end multimedia devices, which do not need very high read/write performances but more storage space at a low price, while conserving battery life.
The MQ02ABF075 slim HDD we are going to review in this article is meant to be installed in ultrabooks or high-end multimedia devices, belongs to the MQ02ABF Client HDD series which offers up to 1TB of storage capacity and runs at 5400RPM. Its MTTF is rated at 600.000 hours and features quite low power consumption in order to maximize battery life. Our sample has arrived in OEM packaging:
The slim two-platter MQ02ABF075 features a large sticker on top, along with the breathing hole:
From the sticker, we can learn of the product code name, revision, power rating, manufacturing date, serial number, total capacity and more:
On the laterals we can check the slimness of the drive along with the mounting holes:

If we flip the product on the other side, we will be able to check out the electronic board along with the cable which helps to power the motor:
Regarding connectors, we will find the SATA Data, SATA Power and also an additional 4-pin header:
